Setting up two-factor authentication (MFA)

1 min read

Summary

  • Scenarios supports authenticator-app-based two-factor authentication (TOTP) — apps like Google Authenticator or Authy.
  • Enrolling shows a QR code to scan (or a manual secret key), followed by a 6-digit code to confirm setup.
  • Once enrolled, you'll be asked for a 6-digit code from your authenticator app when logging in.

Setting up MFA

Scan the QR code shown during enrolment with an authenticator app (or enter the secret key manually if you can't scan it), then enter the 6-digit code the app generates to confirm setup. From then on, logging in will ask for a fresh 6-digit code from your authenticator app alongside your password.

Frequently asked questions

You can enter the secret key shown alongside it manually into your authenticator app instead.
